a)It is stated in the article that ın Taiwan, students have lack of opportunities to convey their language knowledge. They only have chance to put the language knowledge in class, but the number of the students and time limitations are barrier to teacher to respond them individually. It is also same in Turkey, our classes are so crowded because of that reason the quality of education is decreasing day by day.Except this,as them we dont have enough opportunities to expess ourselves, our needings, our problems anywhere else from class. Moreover the time is also limited in our lessons,as a result teachers dont have chance to care for all of to student individually..
ReplyDeleteb) Firstly;ı want to say that if it is used in turkey it will surely be beneficial for all of the foreign language department students.we learn English as an second language that is why we have really difficulty in expressing ourselves in an oral way. There should be somethin to improve our deficiensy. If this system is implemented ı think we will have the opportunity to speak fluently without any anixety. However,it is somethinh that need both teacher and students desires..Maybe bacause of the lack of material it would be challenging..ı believe that if we see it as a remedy to get rid of this problem,we will have the chance to implement this system in Turkey, too.
c)Like most of the Turkish student,ı have difficulty in speaking more than the other things.Actually,ı believe it has a really good effect on our speaking ability, but at the same time ı have doubt about the process of this program.I think it really need time to be used proficiently.
a)Yes,the students in turkey and taiwan have some similarities in terms of their language learning situation. For İnstance, they both have difficulty in speaking and listening because they only can speak english in their classes,so they can not practice in their environments.
ReplyDeleteb)Yes,it would be useful to use this technique, but in my opinion it helps writing and reading more,it is not enough to develop speaking because whle speaking you must speak fluently. However,in ths practice students can think how much they want,so it doesn't help speaking a lot,it is more useful for using in writing or reading.

a)Yes.i think both the students in Taiwan and we(Turkish students) have to learn English during English classes. We don't have the opportunity of practising it in our conversations during the day.
ReplyDeleteb)- c)Yes.it would be be useful for us.We could use it if all the students had the tape-recorder or other devices in their home.We could improve our speaking. We sometimes have difficulty in making some hard sentences. We would learn how to do this.We would also improve our pronunciation and intonation.so i would like it.
