This week you are supposed to find three military terms and explain what they are in English with your own words.

    2)Change of place :Military unit's moving from one side to another because of assorted duties

    3)Assembly area :The place where military units meet to be called the roll in specific hours of a day.

  2. lock and load: this means when the soldiers are about the enter the battlefield the commander of the unit orders his soldiers like this,so the soldiers get ready to fight.
    friendly fire: it means that one of your ally damages your own soldiers or units.
    charge: before the final assault begins the commander orders all soldiers to rush on to the enemy without stoping or waiting for anything.
    Cover me: means protect me.
    Watch your six: watchout your back

    base=the center where is supplied the necessary units and equipments during a mission
    mp=military police=a soldier who is assigned to maintain the order in military

  4. Zone:It is a place that soldiers have to clean. Summons:It is a call that is used for calling soldiers. Down:It is the number which finishes the militayr service.

    navy:a county's army which is trained to operate at sea.
    general:an officer of a very high rank especially in the army.

  7. Artillery:ıt refers to any engine used for the discharge of large projectiles in war.Ambush:make a surprise attack on an enemy that passes a concealed position.NO QARTER:
    "Take no prisoners",or "no mercy",or kill them all".All enemy troops are to be killed,even those who surrender.

  9. 1)cannon fodder:soldiers who are sent into war without their leaders thinking that they might die,and they are likely to be killed.
    2)conscript:to join the army compulsorily according to the law
    3)mercenary:a professional soldier who hired for army,and he fights for any country or group.

  10. demobilize(V): to discharge someone from army who completed all of his duties.

    barrack:a building or group of buildings for lodging soldiers.

    general staff:the people who have the highest statue in army.They assist high commanders in planning and carrying out orders in peace and war.

    discharge certificate : a note that is given to a soldier after completion of his obligatory military service .

    raiding : to attack on the enemies suddenly.

  13. No man's land: it is a term for land that is not occupied or more specifically land that is under dispute between countries or areas that will not occupy it because of fear or uncertainty.

    Echelon formation:it is a military formation in which members are arranged diagonally

    Sack: it is the deliberate destruction and/or looting of a city usually after an assault.
